Regaining Menstrual Cycle With Weight Loss

Thursday, July 14, 2011
If you follow some of my post I have made in the past, I've mentioned that I would take progesterone in order for my menstrual cycle to come down. With out me taking it my period will not come down for at least four months and counting.

However, over the past few days I noticed my breast were really tender. Of course since I never really have a period naturally, I thought nothing of it. As of yesterday I can happily say that my period came down. Even though I'm currently 20 days late from my previous menstrual cycle,  I'm just happy it came at all. Today I am on the second day of my period. Normally if my period ever came naturally, it would appear as dark dry blood when I wipe. My period would never advance to actually seeing blood, truthfully I wouldn't even need a pad. Currently I have a nice flow and cramps happening right now, so I would defiantly say this is a successful "Natural" period.

The only thing I have done differently from before is weight loss. I am still very persistent in losing weight, not to look good in a bikini (although that would be a plus) but to get my health in order. I want to be just like any other woman. I want to be able to have children like other women and in order to do that I must have a menstrual cycle like other women and ovulate like other women. I am 29 years old and needless to say I am not getting any younger. So I am determined to make something happen sometime soon. I have a doctor appointment on the 20th of this month. I found out the results of my HSG exam through my medical doctor, and thank God I have no problems Internally with my ovaries, fallopian tubes and no cyst either. All I can do at this point is just cross my fingers, get all the medication I need and hopefully I will be pregnant soon.- Smile.

PCOS - After Using Progesterone

Tuesday, March 1, 2011
OK, so inside some of my previous post, I talked about using the medication Progesterone. While using the medication my cycle came down like it's suppose to. It took a few days after I took my last Progesterone pill for the medication to take place. Roughly with in 4 or 5 days my cycle begin to start.

The first few days was pretty good. There was very little cramps and the "Flow" wasn't too heavy either. However, towards the middle to end of my period, the "Flow" did get heavier, darker red, and chunks was also included in the the mix. Cramps intensified also, but I did have worst cramps in the past so I'm not going to complain about that.

Over all the process went successfully. The pills worked like they there suppose to and considering I did not have a period in 5 months, I thought everything went pretty well. When it comes down to the next month, I don't think my cycle will come on it's own. So I'm sure I will have to make another appointment a few months from now to get the medication again. I just wish there was something besides birth control I can take on a monthly or daily basis to regulate my cycle.

PCOS - Progesterone

Monday, February 7, 2011
Hey, In a previous post (click to read post) I mentioned that i did not have a cycle for roughly 4 or 5 months and my Dr. prescribed to me Progesterone in order to force my cycle to come down. Well today is the last day I take the pills and I'm already feeling cramps. At this rate I would say that my cycle should come down maybe within a few days.

I have been on these pills before and they work well, however while on the pills my cycle was really heavy. I don't know if that's because I haven't had a menstrual cycle in months or is that some type of side effect ? Another thing I noticed was the cramps, now since I don't have a monthly cycle like other women I don't get cramps every month either (guess there's a plus side to something). But while having my cycle after taking the pills the cramps was a bit more intense then I remember in the past on my "Natural" period. And that particular part is something I did not miss.

I just hope this time around when the progesterone kicks in my "Aunt Flow" wont be as heavy or as painful. Well if in a few days from now you see a post with no words just an attachment with a picture that looks like this >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

LOL Then You Would Know Why.
