Aphogee 2 Step Treatment

Monday, September 26, 2011
Yesterday was my first time using the Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment, and so far I'm happily pleased.

Here is a picture of both the 2 Step treatment and the Balancing Cream. Both are needed

If you use the 2 Step (while bottle) without using the Balancing Moisturizer  (pink bottle),  your hair will FALL OUT more then it is right now.

Hair Washing Regimen

  1. First thing I used was the Aphogee Damage  Shampoo which is needed to clean your hair.
  2. After washing my hair a few times I used the 2 Step Protein Treatment. Making sure the treatment was in my hair, I slowly comb the treatment through my hair. Once done with that I used my blow dryer and dried the hair maybe around 30 to 40 min. (I have a relaxer so my hair isn't that thick). Women with ticker hair may need to blow dry their hair a bit longer.
  3. Once hair is dry ... The protein in your hair will become very hard. Once its hard go back in the shower under warm water and after a few min you will feel your hair become more loose and natural.
  4. Once protein is fully rinsed out of hair then you use your balancing moisturizer. Make sure you work the moisturizer through your head at least twice.
  5. The next thing I did was the 2 Min Re constructor. This is something like a deep conditioner.

That's it ... your done ! Yeah I know it seem like a lot, but my hair feels great because of it. After I washed out everything I let my hair air dry then I sprayed some Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer on it, then styled it the next day. And the result ... My hair is very soft, easy to manage and I see less breakage. I will let u know how my hair is between now and 6 weeks (the next time I have to do the 2 step treatment again.

Using Aphogee

Sunday, August 21, 2011
Hey... I just wanted to do an update on my hair and give a review on the Aphogee Products. As I mentioned I brought only 3 items : Damage shampoo, 2 min Re-constructor, and the Balancing Moisturizer.

Below is a picture of my hair right before using the products.

 (Before using Products)

And this is my hair now.
Look at my Ends,
and my pony pail is so thick now too.

About 2 weeks after the first picture was taken, I had plans on getting a relaxer. So I wanted to prepare my hair by making it stronger.

What I did :
  1. washed hair with the damage shampoo first, then the 2min re constructor, then use the moisturizing balancer.
  2. One week later I do the same exact thing
  3. On the 3rd week and the day of my relaxer, after the stylist applied relaxer and washed hair with neutralizer, I had her wash my hair with damage shampoo and she put in the 2min re constructor... then placed me in the steam dryer for about 5min.

Normally after I have a relaxer put in... my hair still sheds badly. Instead of being coarse hair, straight hairs would fall out instead. But as of now everything is going good. My hair feels healthier and my ends are thicker. My hair also has body to it, where as before after a relaxer my hair would stringy and limp. I would say I'm pretty happy with the results so far. What I plan to do in the future is every 2 weeks I will wash and style my hair at home to maintain the strength and protein.

If there is anyone out there that has dry and shedding hair, I would defiantly recommend Aphogee products to rebuild the texture and strength of your hair. The products can be found at beauty salons or online for on average around $4 to $20 depending on the size u get. To me that's a good price considering I used to pay $40 bucks for Carols Daughter products.

The White bottles are used to rebuild your hair and the Pink and Clear bottles are used for maintenance AFTER your hair is healthy again.

Good Luck and I will continue to post updates in the future. - Smile

PCOS - Hair Shedding

Friday, August 5, 2011
Hummm, Does your bathroom floor look like this ? Well in my case I had to do my hair in the bedroom and this was the result. So I decided to gather most (not all) of the hair I pulled from the comb and take a picture of it. The rest of the hair that was on the floor had to get swept up instead.

For some reason this have been happening I would say about 3 years or so. I thought my job was causing it but I was wrong. I have not been working for almost 2 years now and the problem still happens. Thankfully I'm starting a new job at the end of the month, so I'm in good spirits but the problem still continues.

Then I thought well maybe my hair is damaged because I got relaxers often. So for this reason I stopped getting relaxers and haven't had one for months now. My hair is so thick and coarse I need a blow dryer just to help me manage it. Since Im starting a new job I have decided to get another relaxer and find a way to strengthen my hair. After doing some research on youtube.... I came across this product called Aphogee. The main purpose of Aphogee is to put protein back in your hair which should stop hair breakage and shedding.

As you can see they have lots of different products to help rebuild your hair. The products I started with are :

  • Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair
  • Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor
  • Balancing Moisturizer

I figured I will start off with these products first because they can work really well with my new relaxer. My plan is to use the products at home myself to help get my hair stronger for my relaxer in about 2 weeks. And while I get my relaxer I will have the salon use the products to help my hair even more. Hopefully if things go well I should have a much healthier head of hair and no more shedding. - Smile.

I will update you randomly on the rebuilding of my hair so make sure you continue to follow on Facebook or  sign up for the RSS Feed.
